CANADIAN EVOLUTION 101
We started out, a Colony. Then a Dominion. Finally we are, a Country. As a Country we must work on pride in what it truly means;"to be Canadian."
As a Veteran, I see a problem. The problem I see is that two organizations (the Military and RCMP) who have no political power or right to unionize, are being taken for granted. The one thing, that will never be in power, never have a voice to defend them. The one thing, they have sworn to lay their own lives down for. To defend at all cost, cannot help them. THEIR COUNTRY!
I myself, by myself, with no outside sponsorship, feel compelled to do something to effect change. The Equitas Society
is going ahead with their class action lawsuit against the Government of Canada. They are doing this for non-self serving reasons. They have kindly asked for Canadians to help them right a wrong. I'm on my way.
I am going to answer their call for help and action. With my own retirement money and using my own time and vehicle, I will be crossing Canada in an effort to raise the awareness of this group and their cause. I will not be taking donations or gifts. You must send those to Equitas. If any person, corporation or party would like to provide basic necessities such as; food, gas or shelter, that would be appreciated.
This drive is not about me or for me. This drive is for all Veterans, serving RCMP / Military and First Responders (more about First Responders in later Blogs). Equitas is fighting for fairness and they need all the assistance,we as a Country can give them. I am going to do this and donate cash as well. This is my decision alone but, as I drive you are welcome to follow as long as you like, to show solidarity for their cause. From now till the day I depart, I will be passing on more information.
My job experience for this task is quite lengthy. 14 years of fighting the different government departments for fairness and justice.(not achieved yet). This includes Senior Officers violating Orders, making a Settlement through ADR. Losing the Settlement so I could not receive VAC pension right away. The Privacy Commission who thinks it is okay that DND lost the Settlement documents and file. Ethics that will not talk to me. GG who will not help. Senator and Local MP who will not help and Human Rights and their lack of understanding that a mentally injured Veteran wanting to bring a case against the Government, is disabled. (not the current status)
Finally: for VAC who I have dealt with extensively for the past 9 years. I know their Modus Operendi all to well and I think most NVC (New Veterans Charter) Veterans, know what I mean by that.
Much more to follow. I hope to see you all on the road Westbound or at least, financially assisting these Patriots in their efforts, for all of us.
Evolution of the Senator
Things I believe as a Canadian. The Military and RCMP should never be loyal to any political party or ideology. Religion should be a personal choice but should never interfere with the running of a country or the making of laws. The free spending Senators, who are confused about forms and where they live and our Walmart Greeter, "The Governor General", must go. The Minister of Finance, wanting to pay for the Senators and GG with our hard earned cash has his hands so far down into my pocket: I am beginning to smile and blush. The money saved Mr. Finance Minister, would more than help our Veterans and our Country.As a Veteran, I see a problem. KEEP ON WORKING THEY NEED IT!
An urgent message out from the Senate. They need you to possibly get a second job and there will be more cuts to Veterans. The explanation was simple and easy for the normal everyday Canadian to understand. The elite in this country are running a little short of YOUR CASH!!! They have expenses you know. Complex forms to fill out including the most tricky of all: WHERE DO YOU LIVE??

Now being an understanding compassionate Canadian and Veteran, I do feel for these Senators. For example; Mr Dallaire, who I flew supplies into Rwanda for, was in Command of the UN mission there. He has spent a little over $300,000.00 in travel expenses. Being a Veteran himself and having had some PTSD issues, I would think that all of the current Veterans have received exactly the same treatment as he did from DND and VAC.
1. The treatment we have all received such as dialing; 1-866-522-2122 the,"we no nothing line," but will forward you to the, "someone who is not there line", for assistance.
2. A Case Manager who does not have access to all of your file so they cannot answer your questions or provide assistance.
3. DND losing files, the ones that support the VAC case.
4. Finally, having to wait 4 months for VAC to make a wrong decision so you must appeal and then wait another 4 months for that decision and on and on, until the VAC lawyers, will no longer support you because they are only allowed to fight VAC about VAC stuff. If your complaint involves another government department, you are on your own.
5. Knowing that the Government lawyers have the opinion of Mr Dallaire, as clearly stated in BC Federal Court, that he is to be treated no different than anyone else on Public Assistance. I guess that is why he is a Senator.
Since we have Senators to help give the Government guidance. Since Mr. Dallaire was unable to assist me, he has probably donated significant funds to the Equitas Society in support of their lawsuit.

MISINFORMED MISINFORMATION
A Professor Not Understanding What He Is Professing
Paul Robinson is a professor at the University of Ottawa. Writer for the Ottawa Citizen. Good for him. Does that make him entitled to comment on anything he has not experienced first hand? I think not.
"To illustrate this point, in an article titled Why Treat the Wounded? Michael Gross asks us to imagine a scenario in which three people suffer identical head injuries: a man riding a motorbike and wearing a helmet, who through no fault of his own is struck by a speeding car; another man, also riding a motorbike, but not wearing a helmet, who runs a red light and hits a car; and a soldier injured in battle. It is not obvious in this scenario why the state has a duty to give the soldier better medical treatment than it gives to the bikers.
Reading this confused mans' explanation brings some important questions to my mind. Was the motorbike driver in a war zone? Was the motorbike driver looking out for snipers? Was the motorbike driver concerned about hitting an IED? Was the motorbike driver traveling with a platoon of other motorbike riders at the time? Did the motorbike driver and his platoon, witnessed or hear about another motorbike rider being killed the day before? Was the motorbike driver away from his/her friends and family for months? Was the motorbike driver given adequate trauma counselling in theatre exactly like they would if they were a civilian having experienced a school shooting the day before? Was the motorbike driver ordered to drive that day regardless of his mental or physical condition? Did the motorbike driver have access to free private confidential medical treatment upon his request that day?
Any individual with the narrow minded, uneducated, ignorant point of view of comparing a motorbike rider getting a head injury in Canada to a member of our military, overseas, getting the same injury under totally different circumstances, needs more schooling and maybe, just maybe, a little TI!
Oh writer Paul, TI means "TIME IN". Which means time in service to ones country in a war zone. Civilian!

"Abuse of Process" UNIONIZE OUR MILITARY, NOW!
Federal lawyers argued the veterans' lawsuit is "abuse of process" that should be thrown out. Really? So the Rights Veteran's fought for are now an "Abuse of Process." This is the; "Mercenary Effect!"
When civilians try to join the military, they are taught the honour and dignity of serving ones country. They are advised that their service to their country is very much appreciated and it is an honourable profession There is no military union because the Government, for 79 years, took care of their Veterans. Now Veterans are a drag on the Government. What was an honourable career of serving ones own country has become a problem and those darn Veterans are just making an,"Abuse of Process" in trying to receive what those prior to the New Veterans Charter of 2006, received.
The Royal Canadian Legion, which should have been there as a substitute Union Representative Body, is not helping. Speaking of,"Royal," Where is Waldo anyway? I haven't heard a peep out of our "Commander in Chief." I realize that I do not fully understand politics but, if I am given a job with a title, let us just pluck one out of the air, let us say,"Commander in Chief of the Canadian Forces and Queen's own Representative. I would assume I should do something to live up to that Title. I am obviously misinformed. The old Veterans are happy with what they have and the New Veterans are having to go it alone. In this same environment at the same time, the Royal Canadian Legion is wondering why their membership is dropping, and quickly. Might it have something to do with non-support of current Veterans and their reaction to, the inaction of the; Queen's Royal Representative the GG and/or the Royal Canadian Legion? I think that, a "Union" calling itself the;"Canadian Armed Forces", (the Canadian Navy, Air Force and Army), has a nice ring to it. If the Harper Government wants to save money, fire the Generals that seem to miscommunicate with the MND. Lose the Senate and for heavens sake, lose the so called,"Commander in Chief" and replace him with a low budget actor/actress. You will get more bang for your buck that way.
"The Mercenary Effect!" Well, if you need a military, but you are not willing to pay for the sacrifice that these people make, then one of two things will happen. The first is that the general public will have heard so much bad about the military and it's treatment of Veteran's that, fewer and fewer will stay in or even join. In this situation, the Government will be forced to pay more, with more benefits. Why put your life at risk for your country if you can make the same money and not have such poor working conditions or benefit packages. That is one scenario. The second is, "Unionize." Yes, just like the German military, we could form our own,"Canadian Military Union." If the military formed a "Union," what could the Government really do about it? It is not like they could call in replacement workers. I think it is time for a reality check here. The average military member has, "The Ruby Slippers" and can click their heels together and just say NO! to the status quo. The Government wants it both ways. They want a military but pay as little as possible.This is good business but, the military is not a business It is a way of life. Unlike any other job, it asks you to do things and go places civilians would not.
The NDP understands,"Unions." They understand why Unions were formed in the first place. The NDP are the,"Official Opposition." The Liberals, the 3rd party, have always been against a strong military and the Conservatives want us but not pay the cost. We have more Generals' per soldier than almost every other country in the world. To top that off, when they are finished in the military their buddies who they newly appointed behind them are so grateful that the retiring Generals all get plumb jobs as consultants or some other paying connection to the military. If I am not mistaken, the former CDS is running the Royal Canadian Legion and for sure, he is unbiased...........ya think???

With all the lawsuits between Veterans and the Conservative Government, a call for experts in helping resolve the issues was sent out.
The Government has compiled a short list of candidates and here are some photos of the work done by these individuals.
It is nice to see, for a change, the close attention to detail of these potentials has been observed by our current staff of problem solvers. The future sure looks bright to me, you???

Canadian Government VS Veterans
The WW2 and Korean war Veterans have received what was deemed fair for 78 years. In 2006, the Canadian Government brought in the New Veteran's Charter (NVC). The NVC in no way compensates Veteran's as before it's introduction. There is an application before the courts in British Columbia (BC) Canada, dealing with this exact issue. The Government lawyers, as I understand, are arguing that Veterans should be treated no different than anyone else on public assistance. If you want to know exactly how a Veteran in Canada is treated, READ MY BLOG, the whole thing! It is all there from start to present day.

Government-Say What You Mean&Mean What You Say
Pastor Jeremiah Steepek (pictured above) transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the new pastor that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service....only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food....NO ONE in the church gave him change. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit in the back. He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.
As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such. When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation........"We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek"....The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation.....The homeless man sitting in the back stood up.....and started walking down the aisle.....the clapping stopped with ALL eyes on him....he walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment....then he recited
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning...many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame.... he then said....Today I see a gathering of people......not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples...when will YOU decide to become disciples? He then dismissed service until next week.......Being a Christian is more than something you claim. I'ts something you live by and share with others

Canadian Veterans-Now Officially Beggars
There comes a time when the truth can't be hidden any more. This Blog is a perfect example. If I had lied about anything that had happened or is happening to me in my military service or VAC claim, the Government of Canada would have had me in court so fast it would have made your head spin. Have I lied, NO! The truth hurts only when you have done wrong.
I might be missing something but it seems that the military Veterans have become a charity organization. They are having to beg for money to help one another. On top of that, DND is forcing members of the serving military, to be threatened with Dishonourable Discharge or having to choose release so that they can help raise money (beg) to help suffering Veterans. The cases I am stating are from that of; Kirkland and MacEachern.
So now that I have established that Veterans are forced to beg for charity money to help them. Did the Royal Canadian Legion rush in to the aide of our current Veterans and offer unwavering support and legal aide? NO THEY DIDN'T?! What do you mean NO? I mean exactly that. They are MIA. They have their benefits. Have they fought to keep them for the Veterans who came after 2006? NO!
What ever happened to;"ONE VETERAN, ONE STANDARD?" I does not seem to apply. What happens to all the money the Legion collects? Does it all go for administration so that there is a place for members of the public who have never served, to go? Maybe to a Legion Hall? I myself, in good conscience, could no longer remain a member of that organization;THE LEGION. I felt that the money I wish to give, should go to an individual or organization that believes in;"ONE VETERAN, ONE STANDARD!"
If the Government thinks that by making a two tiered Veteran Compensation System would pit one Veteran against another, they were spot on. The only problem is, they have lost their credibility with the Serving Rank and File as well as the New Veterans (post 2006).
This is where my language is going to change. I will start calling things what they ARE instead of what they are supposed to BE. I tried to do a fund raiser to help Veterans and Bosnian Orphans in 1996-7. For this my career was systematically destroyed. I filed a Harassment Complaint against the Base Commander for his actions. In return, he made himself Judge. This is in total contravention to the Orders. To no one's surprise, he found himself "NOT GUILTY."
When we enter the Forces, we are sent to Brainwashing Camp. This is better known as Boot Camp. It is then engrained in us, to not question but, follow orders as given. What happens when the Senior Officers all disobey Orders as written??? What happens to the poor soldier who was brainwashed into always following Orders, sees this happening????? The trust at that point is forever broken and the military structure crumbles. If one Senior Officer violates Orders and no one stops him or her, then all those with knowledge of the situation and do nothing to help, are in violation of the same Orders. Now that the Brainwashed Troops see Senior Officers in violation of Orders, they then, can no longer trust blindly their Orders. They question everything.
This all kind of sounds like what is going on today in our military. Kirkland is given a Dishonourable Discharge for testifying in front of a committee who's job it is, to make things better. The Minister of National Defence, Peter MacKay, having promised Kirkland that he would be protected from the military, was forced to rise in the House. He had to do this after hearing about what the military was doing to Kirkland, in contravention to his Orders. The MND had to explain it was miscommunication between him and the military. The military does not miscommunicate. They do not make mistakes. They know exactly what is going on and exactly what they are doing. I could understand if they made this mistake on purpose, but just an honest mistake, no.
So Kate MacEachern is having to quit her job in the Forces because she can't be given the time off to do charity work (begging) for Veterans. The Military, giving 2 billion a year back to the Government, must be tight for money. I can see why her Commanding Officer believes the military is too tight in funds to spare her some time to (let's call it what it is) beg for money from the public. VAC has a new Veterans Charter 2006 that does not take care of Veterans as well as the old one. Of course the Royal Canadian Legion was right there to help her with her efforts, and help fight VAC for benefits, NOT!
These are not stupid people. The Government knows Kate quit. She has her most precious of rights back. She has her freedom of speech again. She is free now. She does not have to follow the misguided Senior Officers above her that have denied her kind and generous offer of help.
I am doing my part. The Equitas Society is doing their part. Kirkland has done his, very well and Kate, will be on her way soon.

They have their benefits. Have they fought to keep them for the Veterans who came after 2006? NO!
What ever happened to;"ONE VETERAN, ONE STANDARD?" I does not seem to apply. What happens to all the money the Legion collects? Does it all go for administration so that there is a place for members of the public who have never served, to go? Maybe to a Legion Hall? I myself, in good conscience, could no longer remain a member of that organization;THE LEGION. I felt that the money I wish to give, should go to an individual or organization that believes in;"ONE VETERAN, ONE STANDARD!"
If the Government thinks that by making a two tiered Veteran Compensation System would pit one Veteran against another, they were spot on. The only problem is, they have lost their credibility with the Serving Rank and File as well as the New Veterans (post 2006).
This is where my language is going to change. I will start calling things what they ARE instead of what they are supposed to BE. I tried to do a fund raiser to help Veterans and Bosnian Orphans in 1996-7. For this my career was systematically destroyed. I filed a Harassment Complaint against the Base Commander for his actions. In return, he made himself Judge. This is in total contravention to the Orders. To no one's surprise, he found himself "NOT GUILTY."
When we enter the Forces, we are sent to Brainwashing Camp. This is better known as Boot Camp. It is then engrained in us, to not question but, follow orders as given. What happens when the Senior Officers all disobey Orders as written??? What happens to the poor soldier who was brainwashed into always following Orders, sees this happening????? The trust at that point is forever broken and the military structure crumbles. If one Senior Officer violates Orders and no one stops him or her, then all those with knowledge of the situation and do nothing to help, are in violation of the same Orders. Now that the Brainwashed Troops see Senior Officers in violation of Orders, they then, can no longer trust blindly their Orders. They question everything.
This all kind of sounds like what is going on today in our military. Kirkland is given a Dishonourable Discharge for testifying in front of a committee who's job it is, to make things better. The Minister of National Defence, Peter MacKay, having promised Kirkland that he would be protected from the military, was forced to rise in the House. He had to do this after hearing about what the military was doing to Kirkland, in contravention to his Orders. The MND had to explain it was miscommunication between him and the military. The military does not miscommunicate. They do not make mistakes. They know exactly what is going on and exactly what they are doing. I could understand if they made this mistake on purpose, but just an honest mistake, no.
So Kate MacEachern is having to quit her job in the Forces because she can't be given the time off to do charity work (begging) for Veterans. The Military, giving 2 billion a year back to the Government, must be tight for money. I can see why her Commanding Officer believes the military is too tight in funds to spare her some time to (let's call it what it is) beg for money from the public. VAC has a new Veterans Charter 2006 that does not take care of Veterans as well as the old one. Of course the Royal Canadian Legion was right there to help her with her efforts, and help fight VAC for benefits, NOT!
I have offered my assistance to her as I hope all military past and present, will too.
These are not stupid people. The Government knows Kate quit. She has her most precious of rights back. She has her freedom of speech again. She is free now. She does not have to follow the misguided Senior Officers above her that have denied her kind and generous offer of help.
I am doing my part. The Equitas Society is doing their part. Kirkland has done his, very well and Kate, will be on her way soon.
I CHALLENGE YOU! GET OUT THERE AND HELP IN ANYWAY YOU CAN. THE TRUST IS BROKEN AND MUST BE REPAIRED! IT IS UP TO US TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN!

ENOUGH - NO MORE!
That is enough. This intimidation of young, good hearted, military personnel is over. Kate MacEachern did a long walk last year to support injured troops and veterans. She did an outstanding job.
Leave aside for now the fact that our proud serving members are having to go out and ask for donations from the public who, through their tax dollars have already given VAC and DND more than enough money. So much so that DND is giving back in the order of 2 Billion a year.
They told Kate that they can't afford the money to support her efforts. So to understand what I am hearing, she is willing to use her only days off to do a walk to help serving and retired military personnel and DND giving back 2 Billion a year can't afford to help her and have asked her to leave the military if she does.
I have lost hearing, nerve function in both legs, my right arm. I have severe hearing loss. I am suffering from PTSD, Generalized Anxiety and Major Depression and I will do the walk for her. She is young and has so much to lose. I am old and broken, but unlike the military brass, that I am having to take to Federal Court over my VAC pension, I still have pride, honour and dignity. I cannot allow this member to be intimidated in this fashion. When I get a green light from her, things will happen. You can count on that.
Pick on one too many times then, you finally cross the line and are now picking on all of us. In my eyes, and many others, it is time to stop this and say, "enough intimidation!" I welcome the Senior Officer or NCM who said these things to her, to pick on me instead! I am no longer serving, I have earned my freedom of speech and will be more than happy to take on a bully hiding in a uniform. Real Officers would never let this disgrace happen. I am one and I will not stand for it anymore.

Kevin Berry has done a wonderful job explaining what he is doing and why he is part of the class action lawsuit against the Government of Canada.
The pride in listening to him and his intestinal fortitude unfortunately did not out way the personal anger and disgust I feel towards my own Country and it's treatment of Veterans under the New Charter 2006.
Please listen carefully. This man expresses what all who fall under the New Charter feel. Thank you Kevin.

SIR ! (Nice to say again and mean it!)
Damn it is nice to say that again and really mean it. This is a thank you to our Colonel (R) Pat Stogran. Men like him are the real reason I joined. The dignity, honesty, integrity loyalty and respect demonstrated by him is something to strive for. He wrote an article for "esprit de corps", in Volume 20 Issue 6 (The latest edition). Within this article are things only he is qualified to say. Pointed and clear. Sometimes the truth must come out and although not pretty, necessary.
Some have finished their battles and others, including myself, are putting it all on the line for all Veterans benefit. For the Colonel and all the rest of us that have hung on to the true military spirit and kept on trying to fix what is broken, I must tell you, there are others working very hard behind the scenes to help us.
I wish I could say more about these people, but that will have to wait until they wish it known. I will keep my promise not to say anything unless it has been approved in advance by these kind and generous people.
We can't always be negative about the situation we find ourselves in with VAC but we have to keep our heads held high and be able to see and recognize those who are trying in their silence, to help us. I wish I could say more but it will have to wait. Thanks to all of you. We still have our pride.

CLARITY- SPELLING IT OUT!
I realize that it has been a while since I last wrote to you. It is not for my lack of ambition towards our issues, it is because I have had to deal privately with others behind the scenes in an effort to make further progress.
To this end, it became apparent to me that even though we as veteran's know the issues in dealing with VAC and others, our message is confusing to exactly what we are working towards. So, in case anyone is not sure of my goals, here they are:
1. When a Veteran files a claim with VAC, that date is the date in which coverage must begin.
This means, that after you file your claim, it is assumed that you are telling the truth. Their agreeing with you and the facts is just time. Their delay tactics will no longer affect the Veteran because their "Decision Date" (The date now that they will start coverage will no longer be the date that they can no longer dispute your claim).
2. The Bureau of Pension Advocates (BPA) are Lawyers who who work directly for you. You will have direct access. Direct communications with and input into their actions. Just like a hired civilian Lawyer, they answer to you and you only.
3. If lost documents are an issue, BPA will have the legal authority to access them. They will be responsible to get investigations going at Ethics and Privacy. Not the Veteran. They can continue with the Veteran all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada, if required at no cost to the Veteran.
4. The "Governor General", his/her title of, "Commander in Chief", will be revoked and the Prime Minister of Canada will now be in full command of our military. If the military personnel are going to put their lives on the line for our Country, then the highest elected official shall be accountable and responsible. If they want a Governor General for theatrical reasons, then that position shall be exactly that and not referred to in any legal documents hence forth.
5. The "Pledge of Allegiance" shall be to Canada, ALONE! Leave the Queen out completely.
6. The term in the "Human Rights Act", be clarified for all to include, the mentally disabled. This includes Major Depression / Anxiety and PTSD for prosecution and defense reasons.

ROYAL DOCUMENTS-Shredding? "Never Again!"
I served the Governor General and Queen through the British High Commission in Ottawa. Since my last legal agreement signed on behalf of the Queen, by the Canadian Forces ( A General from the CF, Alternate Dispute Resolution ) was destroyed/lost/shredded, I wanted to be certain that the fate of these documents met a happier outcome.
I therefore, had the Governor General and Queen served at his residence by a legal service company. This was to ensure, it does not go missing, I have posted the notice here.
It is sad to think I put my life on the line for someone who cannot even respond after over 2 years. The so called, "Commander in Chief" is not scary. That child soldier in Rwanda, who walked onto my plane with a fully loaded AK-47 looking for food,....... was scary! I was flying in to re-supply General Dallaire's troops.
What is even more scary than that, was after a so called "Risk Assessment", it was deemed too dangerous to give the flight crew weapons to defend ourselves and we flew in anyway.
As a final note, I asked General Dallaire's Staff, if they could speak to him and give me some assistance, due to the circumstances. The response was, NO!. The ever helpful Senate.

BROTHERS IN ARMS!
This is for Mario Bernier. By request. I am listening. Thanks for following the posts. I wish I could take credit for this beautiful picture but I think it says a lot about brothers in arms.
WHY?
Simple communication is the key. Cpl Kirkland did it. The MND did it also. The Senior DND Staff did not. Why?
The Cpl told us his story in simple straight forward terms. Listening to the MND, he seemed to be clear. Why the dis-connect with the Senior Staff at DND?
I have told my story here and to anyone who listens. I have never been able to speak publicly about it, why? The media knows. VAC and the Royal Canadian Legion know. The PM, MND and Governor General (Commander - in - Chief), DND and VAC know. My MP knows. The NDP and Liberal parties know. I never heard back from the Greens. The Justice, Human Rights, Privacy, Ethics and Alternate Dispute Resolution (DND) Departments know.
So many stories about Veterans (Military and RCMP), being mistreated. Hardly a day goes by that you don't hear something about it.
I just want to talk in simple, straight forward communicative style. I have documentary proof about what happened to me and my history with DND and VAC. I will be honest and factual. Simple.
Why?, Why is my story so radioactive that no one wants to touch it? I do not understand.
I am being rhetorical in that comment.

PTSD - WERE WE ALTERED?
I have asked many professionals in the field, why if a problem is so obvious to the trained eye, is nothing being done about it.
I had a discussion earlier with a close friend who took exception to my term,"Brain Washing", as I applied it to military training. Without going into the details that are all on my Blog, we finally came to a conclusion in which he was comfortable with. His position shocked me at first but then I began to understand.
People think intense mental conditioning is training, as long as it is for a good purpose. If intense mental training is used for bad things, such as terrorism, then it is called, "Brain Washing".
I was subjected to two different types of intense mental training / "Brain Washing". The first was Basic Training for when you join the military. The second was even more intense and that was pilot training. Now pilot training should be looked upon as fun. As a profession, it is nothing like fun. Your training consists of continuous and repetitive, desensitization. You are so desensitized that you can even perform under the most extreme situations and never feel even one emotion. There is no time or room for emotion.

A perfect example of this is Captain Sullenburg (sorry if I spelled it wrong- he is a hero of mine). Just after take-off, he flew into a flock of Geese. He lost both engines, talked to Air Traffic Control. He directed his crew. Deployed his alternate hydraulic system. Flew the aircraft. Had it configured for a water landing and did it all in about 2 minutes.
Impressive. Unbelievable. Remarkable. Yes it was. All that and more. It happened because a highly intelligent person was desensitized to the actual situation. So desensitized that it was just almost routine. And sadly, it is for pilots. That's what happens in simulators. They are complex desensitization machines.
So, is this intense mental conditioning or "Brainwashing"? Is there a difference?
My last question for us all to ponder is; A lot of highly skilled mental professionals put years of research into manipulating the human mind to react to life threatening situations in predictable ways. Why then, when an organization knows that one of there members is going to return to "normal life", are they not given the same intense mental conditioning to deprogram or re-sensitize them from, the conditioned response reaction?

HRC - What Does Physically Disabled Mean Exactly?
As I understand it has something to do with motion, speech, hearing or sight. These are body functions. I agree with the Human Rights Commission (HRC) that people with these disabilities, should not be denied access to services because of their disabilities.
Now someone who has had a stroke, suffers from Parkinson Disease or Lou Garrigs can and most likely has trouble with; motion, speech, hearing or sight. These are but a few examples but, examples enough to prove my point.
My point is, these are not physical but mental problems. Yes, they have outward physical signs that indicate there is a problem but, they are mentally based. PTSD, Major Depression and Severe Anxiety are mentally based too. They sometimes have, no constant or consistent outward physical signs of a problem.
This is a problem! If the HRC can't see it then it is not there. Whether mental or physical, your disability has to do with motor function, sight or hearing. If HRC can't see it then, you are not disabled according to their letter to me. You must have a mental illness with outward physical manifestations to be called disabled by HRC. How narrow minded. A little biology says the brain runs your body and is part of your physical body. If it is injured, it is physical because it is part of your physical person and thus you are Physically Disabled. So if you are not seen to have an outwardly physical disability, then to HRC, you are not:
