DEFENDING THE NORTH ?

Excellent hypothetical idea. Let me guess, we have done many studies on the subject.

I bet we have done as many studies as we have dreams about even the remote possibility that we (Canada) have the ability to actually defend our North.

We have Rangers with old .303's. Submarines that don't work and could not stay on station under the ice anyway. No year-round Icebreakers.

We are down a Supply ship and a Frigate. Our Air Force could get there but with no fuel to come back with, the planes would stay preserved up there for a very long time.

If the Canadian public actually knew what we don't have to defend our North, they would be appalled.

We could always airdrop a few excess Generals up there for talks. Lord knows we have lot's of excess there. It is, I believe, the only excess the CF has.

" IF YOU DON'T USE IT......YOU LOSE IT !"
